What was Francis Bacon's contribution to the scientific revolution during the 17th century?

1 Answer

Bacon advocated the collection of all possible facts and phenomena and the processing of these through a sort of automatic logical mechanism.
He advocated that the scientific community should be more based in logic and less in authority and mysticism as this was the case in the Dark Ages which Europe was exiting from.
His theories on logic and the organization of the sciences had a great effect on science in his time and into the future.
