The Reconstruction Amendments and the Freedmen's Bureau.

Explanation:

The Reconstruction Amendments included the addition of the 13th amendment,(officially abolished slavery) the 14th Amendment,(stated that anyone born in the U.S. was a U.S. citizen) and the 15th Amendment,(Banned voting restrictions based on race--gave former slaves the right to vote.) While some of these new rights were hampered by Jim Crow laws, They were still significant events for the black community.

Also, the Freedmen's Bureau was a government agency that provided freedmen with food, finding housing and medical aid, and established schools for education.

Hope that helps!
