At least one of the focal points of Soviet propaganda was the idea that Capitalism was an economic system used to oppress the masses of the workers all around the World, enslaving the proletariat workers by:

1) Forcing them to work for others without any possibility to have a say over the productive process;

2) Not giving them education and means of improving their situation;

3) Using religion and fear of God to maintain the workers in a state of spiritual submission (God, like the director of the factory, is a kind of fatherly figure harsh but just so if you do not obey and worship him then you'll get punished...going to hell).
