What were Voyager and Voyager 2? Where were they sent? What did they discover?

These were a pair of similar satellites launched in 1977 to explore the outer planets and their satellites.

Explanation:

Voyager I was launched in September 1977. It reached Jupiter (in March 1979) and Saturn (in Nov 1980). It took thousands of photos of these planets and their moons, plus up-close images of the rings of Saturn. It also discovered faint rings around Jupiter.

Voyager II was launched in August 1977 (actually before Voyager I), but reached Jupiter in July of 1979. Because of a more favourable alignment of the planets, Voyager II was sent on to Uranus and Neptune, and send back the first-ever detailed images of these outer giant planets.

Both satellites have since left the solar system, the first man-made objects to do so.
