#y + 2 = -1/2 (x-7)#

Let's get this into point-slope form, #y = mx + b#

#y + 2 = -1/2x + 7/2#

#y = -1/2x + 7/2 - 2#

#y = -1/2x + 7/2 + 4/2#

#y = color(red)(-1/2)x + color(green)(11/2)#

This tells us that the #color(red)(slope)# is #color(red)(-1/2)# and the #color(green)(y-i n tercept# is #color(green)(11/2#, meaning #(0, 11/2)#

We can check this using a graph

graph{y = -1/2x + 11/2}
