The answer is 2/36 or 1/18


This is a compound probability problem. The probability of rolling a 1 on one cube is 1/6 and a 6 on the other is also 1/6, so those two together is

#1/6 xx 1/6 = 1/36#

However, there are two ways to accomplish this. Suppose your two number cubes are different colors, say red & green. You could roll your 1 on either the red or the green cube, so instead of your answer being 1/36, it is 2/36.
