Value of $y$ is $45.5$

#### Explanation:

y prop x or y=k*x; k  is variation constant

 y=35 ; x= 2 1/2 or x= 5/2 or x=2.5:. 35=k*2.5 or

$k = \frac{35}{2.5} = 14 \therefore y = 14 \cdot x$ is the variation equation.

$x = 3 \frac{1}{4} \mathmr{and} x = 3.25 \therefore y = 14 \cdot 3.25 \mathmr{and} y = 45.5$

Value of $y$ is $45.5$ [Ans]

It would be 45.5

#### Explanation:

Make two equations using the given proportionality(i.e..y directly proportional to x)
It should be noted that while forming an equation any arbritary constant can be taken when we remove proportionality
next divide the first equation by second
Put the given values and assume the unknown to be any variable p,q,r etc work out the equations and see there is the value of your unknown y2
And there's no need to worry about the constant as it will be cancelled out while dividing
