Where did the plague begin and how did it spread?

The bubonic plague is thought to be started by the Mongols in the 1300s. It spread because of the Silk Roads. The Roads connected eastern Asia to Europe, and many people were trading by those means. Thus, it was very easy to spread the devastating disease from Asia to Europe.

This eventually killed off approximately a third of Europe.
