Most veins carry blood away from tissue capillaries of different organs to the heart .

A vein from lungs to heart carries oxygenated blood; in all other cases a vein carries deoxygenated blood.
Then there are portal veins which carry deoxygenated blood from one organ's tissue capillary to another organ, second organ is neither heart nor lung.
