Where does fungus enter a person's body? Does a fungal infection spread from one person to another directly wherever the fungus touches the skin, or does there have to be an entry point, like an open wound?

Fungal infectious never do spread by direct touch, they need wound sites to enter.
This is because the infective form of fungi i.e the saprophytic form is not present in association with the infection. At infection site it lies in its yeasty form, which is only able to spread and grow in the occupied Host's body and can't spread by touch.
