Where is the light bulb located in a car headlight?

The placement of light bulb in newer headlight assemblies is shown in the figure below.

This particular headlight has two halogen type headlight bulbs as shown in the breakout figure.
One each in its housing assembly is placed behind the projector lens. The location is indicated with the help of thick black lines.
