Which front would cause fast rising cumulonimbus clouds and severe weather?

I have a test coming up and I need help, please. Thanks in advance!

Cold Front

Explanation:

Both warm and cold fronts can cause severe weather but I think you want a cold front due to the "fast rising" cumulonimbus.

A cold front is a wedge of cold air. This air, being denser than warm air, will stay on the ground and the warmer air ahead of it will be pushed upward. The process of convection is fairly complicated to fully explain here, but the lifted air cools until it's relative humidity reaches 100% at which point clouds form. As the air keeps rising it will form larger and larger clouds until you get a cumulonimbus.

If you want an explanation of convection and how thunderstorms form you can find it here.

A warm front can produce thunderstorms too but it takes longer, and involves more than just frontal lifting.
