The Pituitary gland is called Master gland of the body.

Explanation:

It secretes a variety of hormones of which Growth Hormone is one. If this hormone is secreted excess than required then the person grows very tall and this condition is called Gigantism. If growth hormone is secreted in fewer amounts than it is required then the growth is stunted and the condition is called Dwarfism.
