I guess its f(x)=(x^2-25)/(x+5enter image source here

Explanation:

so y=(x^2-25)/(x+5)

change f(x) to y

using a^2-b^2=(a-b)(a+b)

from the numirator x^2-25=(x-5)(x+5)

therefore y=((x+5)(x-5))/(x+5)

x+5 will be canceled out

y=(cancel(x+5)(x-5))/(cancel(x+5))

the left over is

y=x-5

where the gradient of the line =1
y-intercept=-5
when y=0
x-intercept=5

graph{y=x-5 [-7.79, 12.21, -6.92, 3.08]}
