Principally the Red (Bolsheviks) and the White (Czarist) Russians


But there were also other factions of Russians intent on regional independence ie the Ukrainian's - there were also other socialist factions who rose up for short periods, the Menshevics rose up against the Reds for a short period as did anachists

The external participants were the UK (including contingents from Canada and Australia), France, USA, Greece, Japan, China, Italy, and Serbia
