Neville Chamberlain, Winston Churchill and Clement Attlee.

Explanation:

Chamberlain was PM in 1939 when war was declared. His policy of appeasement had failed. He was replaced by Churchill in 1940.

Churchill symbolised British resistance to Hitler and was PM when Germany surrendered in May 1945.

However at the subsequent General Election Labour were swept to power in a landslide and Clement Attlee became PM. He was in post when Japan surrendered in August 1945 marking the end of World War 2.
