Why anatomy is important for medical students?

It is important because it teaches the students about the various parts of the body and the universal terms of describing where important organs of the body are located.
Explanation:
For example a student will learn that the appendix is located in the right lower quadrant of the abdominopelvic area and spleen is located in the left upper quadrant of the abdominopelvic area. It just lets the students get a better understanding of the human body and the placement of organs. After all becoming a doctor or any other medical professional 'IS' about helping people with ailing bodies, so why not be educated on such topics...
