Humans are heterotrophs or omnivores because Humans eat both animal proteins and plant for food.


hetero means different or mixed. This means that humans eat different types of food sources. Another word for this is omnivore.
which means that humans eat everything.

Carnivores eat mainly meat or animal protein.
herbivores eat mainly plants for energy.
heterotrophs or omnivores eat both.
