Enzyme catalyze a biochemical reaction and convert substrate into end products without undergoing any change and can subsequently be used in another reaction.
Explanation:
Enzymes are biological catalyst. The enzyme form a complex with the substrate as the structural configuration of enzyme matches with that of substrate molecule.
The activation energy of the reaction is lowered by the formation of enzyme-substrate complex.
The substrate undergoes biochemical reaction. The structural configuration of the end products changes and does not match with the structural configuration of enzyme molecule.
The enzyme is thus set free to combine with another substrate molecule and thus can be used over and over again.
