Forever, Earth is in between night sky and Sun The apparent motion is relative to Sun-orbiting Earth. Transiting constellations. we return to same night- sky after a year.

Stars move across sky from east to west due to earth's rotation from west to east..

Explanation:

In addition we see different constellations in different seasons due to earths orbital motion around Sun.
