Why is conservation of resources important?

There are two types of resources, renewable and nonrenewable.

Renewable resources go through cycles, and are reuse over and over again. Much like the oxygen and carbon dioxide processes, these resources go through a change and are regenerated over time.

Non renewable resources consist of fossil fuels, minerals, and other materials which, once they are used, can never be used again. These resources take millions of years to form and accumulate, but only a few years at the most to use up completely. By not conserving resources, humans can expend all of their resources quickly, and once used, these resources are gone completely.

We must conserve our resources because there is not an abundance of them in nature.
