Why is there more oxygen in polar waters than in tropical waters?

Most gases tend to stay in solution in cold water and get released in warmer waters.

Explanation:

Consequently, oxygen and CO2 tend to go into solution in the cold polar regions and get released back into the atmosphere as ocean currents carry them into the tropical regions wherein they get released back into the atmosphere.
