Why ribosomes dont have a membrane ?

Ribosomes aren't organelles. They are just really large, composite, macromolecules that are composed of RNA and proteins.

Explanation:

They are synthesized by genes (multiple genes) for the rRNA and the different proteins. They don't have a lipid bilayer, don't compartmentalize anything - they are just a large structure that is composed of a variety of gene products (lots of ribosomal proteins, as well as strands of rRNA, which is the enzymatic component). They are essentially really large enzymes.
