For two major reasons: aluminium can be recycled over and over again without losing quality, and it reduces the need for extracting aluminium from mines.
Explanation:
Aluminium is one of the most widely used metals today. It is mined from bauxite, a surface ore, and the mining process causes tremendous environmental destruction.
Aluminium is a metal that is not just easy to recycle but one that does not lose quality with recycling. Even more, the energy input to produce aluminium through recycling is much less than that required to process aluminium from ore, making recycling cost-effective, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly.
