Why would a car want to reduce its fluid friction?
Judging by the definition of fluid friction provided here;
The reasoning behind a car wanting to reduce the fluid friction is to help with the performance of the car and lower the resistance as the car its higher speeds.
This is because the quicker the car may be the more wind resistance present hence the more fluid friction which in turn reduces the power of the car. In doing so, the car must use more petrol/oil making it more expensive.
Hope that helps
