In a collision the force that body A exerts on body B will always be equal to the force that body B exerts on body A (Newton's third law). Therefore it follows that the rate of change of momentum will be equal for both A and B. Also because A and B have the same mass and experience the same rate of change of momentum, therefore the acceleration on each object will be equal.
