isotones-atoms of different species having same no. of neutrons.
isotopes-atoms having same Z but different A(since Z is specific for an element same Z implies isotopes occur for the same atom).
ex: isotopes of H-protium(H), deuterium, and tritium.
isobars-atoms having same A but different Z.
ex: Ar,A=20 and Ca,A=20
isotones ex:
Cl: Z=17=no. of protons=no. of electrons
A=37=no. of (protons+neutrons),
no of neutrons=20
K: Z=19
A=39
no. of neutrons=20
