Land pollution can affect all aspects of a surrounding environment.
Pollution can cause species to die out, and even cause mass extinction in the indigenous amphibian population. Amphibians breathe through their skin, and are highly affected by any surrounding pollution. Other animals can experience hardships finding food or even moving around with comfort. Example: otters, ducks, etc with oil.
Pollution can also cause the roots of plants and trees to rot away, creating an unstable environment and eliminating a primary food source for many inhabitants. Pollution can run into water as well and kill animals drinking as well as the plants through root uptake.
