Because it is a #root 3# which is uneven, #x# may have any value.

With even roots, the domain is limited to positive values under the root. #root 2 -4# is not defined, as there is no number that will square to #-4# (except the imaginary numbers, but that is a whole different chapter)

But not here. #root 3 -8=-2# as #(-2)^3=8#

So the domain #x in(-oo -> +oo#)

With #x# going all over the place, so can #y#

So the range #y in(-oo -> +oo)#
