Sodium is more metallic than aluminium.
If you note their locations on the periodic table you will see that sodium is in the group called alkali metals. If you look at the location of aluminium you will note that it is right next to the metalloids which are elements that share characteristics of metals and nonmetals. In general, the further the metal is to the left on the periodic table, and the more readily it gives up its electrons(s), the more metallic.
