Some basic experiments can be carried out with the house available materials

  1. Take baking soda in a small tumbler and add water to dissolve the same. To this solution add vinegar. You will frothing in the medium. This because baking soda reacts with vinegar gives sodium acetate, carbon dioxide and water

  2. Take washing soda (sodium carbonate) in a tumbler, add water, naphthalene balls followed by diluted vinegar. You can observe naphthalene balls will rotate in water this also due to chemical reaction in which washing soda reacts with acetic acid giving sodium acetate, carbon dioxide and water

  3. Turmeric when reacts with slaked lime gives red color this also due to chemical reactions

  4. Apple when we cut and leave it will become slight brown colour due to chemical reaction
