You can't convert Joules per gram Celsius to Joules per mole, but you can convert Joules per gram Celsius to Joules per mole Celsius.

Specific heat is usually measured in #"J/g" ^@"C"# because it expresses the energy needed to increase the temperature of 1 gram of a substance by 1 degree Celsius.

You can convert specific heat to molar specific heat by using the molar mass of the substance you're dealing with

#M_M = m/n = "grams"/"mole"#

#"molar specific heat" = "specific heat" * "molar mass"#

#"J"/(cancel("g") ^@"C") * cancel("g")/"mole" = "J"/("mole"^@"C")#

Molar specific heat will express the heat needed to raise the temperature of 1 mole of a substance by 1 degree Celsius.
