Sneezing is an involuntary response.

Our nose and eyelids are linked by nerves of the brain , so upon reception of stimulation for the sneeze (dust / pollen/ pet hair), it travels through the nerve to the brain, then down another nerve to the eyelids causing us to react by shutting our eyes.
