It is a sequence of a wire turns (many N contiguous and very closely distanced coils that is one level bobbin long L) to form a loop in which a current I flows and produces an uniform magnetic flux density B inside the solenoid where there is a magnetic permeability u.

The intensity of B is proportional to I, N and u and inversely proportional to L.
