How can we benefit? How about by living beyond 30 with a full set of teeth?

Explanation:

In a pre-industrial society, which did not rely on chemical fertilizers, and had no real medicines or prophylaxis, what was the average lifetime? I don't know, 30 or 40 perhaps or even less. Sure, there were individuals who lived to plus 80, but there was widespread infant mortality from diseases against which we now routinely immunize; dental health, which today we take for granted, was a cause of huge suffering and death. Our current knowledge of medicine and nutrition, relies on a molecular basis. It is up to you see the worth of living a long lifetime.
