Explanation:
While an Earthquake is far more violent and destructive (more from Tsunamis caused by earthquakes), drought is by far the worst natural disaster for mankind.
At worst an earthquake can maybe kill 1,000,000 people. Historically famines have taken 10,000,000 or more lives. Often there is additional factors that work with drought to cause famines, but the worst famine cause entirely by drought still took over 3,000,000 lives.
