Enzyme kinetics is the time profile unfolding, mathematically, of enzymes in the catalyst process they take place.

Explanation:

Kinetics comes from physics, ancient Greek, movement or to move. It is widely employed nowadays, such as pharmacokinetics, that means the study of what the body does to the drugs, it is a time profile.

In physics, kinetics is just worried about movement, time unfolding, not forces, details; similarity, enzyme kinetics is worried about motion, e.g. reaction speed.

Enzymes, in general proteins, are molecules that participate in a reaction without being consumed, they speed up reactions. Most of our body processes would not happen "in time", thanks to protein they happen without the need to increase body temperature. Since protein is specific for a reaction/molecule, they have also dynamics, e.g. molecular dynamics.

Below you have a scheme for a classical enzyme kinetics.

And below you a classical graph for the michaelis-Menten kinetics for enzymes.
