There will be no acceleration in the x direction.

Explanation:

Anytime there is a net force, it will be accompanied by an acceleration. If you look at Newton's second law;

F=m*a

You can see that for any massive object, as long as the force, F is non-zero, you must have some acceleration as well, and the only time that F is zero is when the acceleration, a is also zero.
