(a) 10 bulbs, assuming AC mains voltage = 120V.

The bulbs must be connected in series, so the mains voltage will be equally divided by the bulbs. Then:

(a) Nr. of bulbs = #120/12# = 10 bulbs.

(b) Total power = 1 W x 10 bulbs = 10 W.

(c) Voltage drop across each bulb = #120/10# = 12V

(d) As they are in series, the current is the same.

I = #P/V# = #10/120# = 0,08333 A

Resistance of each bulb = #V^2/P# = #12^2/1# = 144 ohm.
