Cancer is caused due to the uncontrolled division of cell which are mutated and tumours are formed. Due to fast spreading nature of cancerous cells, cancer is difficult to treat.
Explanation:
When a DNA of a cell is mutated due to chemicals or radiation, it stops receiving signals from the brain and starts to divide by mitosis. Some of these mutated cells are destroyed by the defence cells but some manage to escape and starts to divide rapidly.
There is uncontrolled division of cells and tumours are formed. These cells spread throughout the body and secondary division occurs i.e metastasis.
Even through various therapies many cancerous cells are killed but somehow some manage to be alive.
So, it is difficult to treat cancers.
