I will describe with words

Explanation:

Use your pen/pencil to track and graph my words while reading

d vs t graph (note: the graph line is continuous)

  1. he goes to the market at a constant speed (a straight line from origin go up right)
  2. when he makes purchases we can neglect his movement (just a horizontal line )
  3. he then goes back at a constant speed but slower (the line goes back down to the origin, but since it is slower, the line is less steep than part 1

v vs t graph (there are three discontinuous parts)

  1. when goes to the market at a constant speed (a horizontal line at whatever speed he is going)
  2. when he shops, we can also neglect his movement (a horizontal line at zero)
  3. when he goes back at a constant speed (another horizontal line at whatever speed he is going. Of course it has to be less than part 1)
