Here,
you can easily subtract or add the terms as they all have #sqrt 3 # .
It is like a variable, like let #sqrt 3 # = x

So it goes,

= 4x+2x-5x
= 6x -5x
= x
=#sqrt 3 #

you don't actually have to suppose but, you can add or subtract any terms containing same values under root.
