Assuming that you mean get rid of the scientific notation, this is how you would 'simplify' it.

First we want to write out the decimal form:

#3.0 xx .001 kg#

Now we multiply it out to get

#.003 kg#

Next we want to convert this to grams to get rid of the decimal.

#(.003kg)/1 xx (1000g)/(1kg)#

Now we can cross multiply:

#(.003cancel(kg))/1 xx (1000g)/(1cancel(kg))#

or just

#.003/1 xx (1000g)/1#

You can remove the 1's on the bottom because dividing by one is the same as just the number.

This can be simplified to just
