What are fibroblasts and what is their function?

Fibroblasts are star chaped cells which are secreted by the mast cells of Areolar tissue.
Fibroblasts secrete two type of fibers -
1. White collagen fibers which provides rigidity to the cell
2. Elastic fibers , which provides elasticity to the cells
