Generally each gene has its two alternative form known as alleles.
If a gene has more than two allelic forms , it is called multiple allelism as in case of ABO blood group.
The ABO blood group is controlled by gene I which has 4 alleles , they are
Ia , Ib , Iab and Io
Multiple allelism are not found in a person , they are found in population.
