the equation of a line passing through 2 points #(x_1,y_1),(x_2,y_2)# is given as:

#y-y_1=m(x-x_1)#

#and m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)# called the slope of the line

therefore putting the given points in the above equation we end up getting:

#m=(15-3)/(8-(-12))=12/20=3/5#

#y-3=(3/5)(x-(-12))#
#5y-15=3x+36#
#3x-5y+51=0#
