Entropy is the statistical probability for disorder.
Explanation:
Entropy is a basic thermodynamic property that is a measure of the randomness (strictly the number of microstates) of a chemical system. In all known chemical and physical reactions, the change in entropy, the change in randomness or disorder, is either zero or positive.
We know from the first law of thermodynamics that the total energy is a constant. The second law of thermodynamics says that entropy increases for all spontaneous processes. In other word, the first law says you can't win; and the second law says you can't break even either.
