Aerobic and anaerobic respiration.
Explanation:
The first part of respiration happens in the cytoplasm where glucose in converted into two pyruvate molecules with a net yield of two ATP molecules. In this part no oxygen is used and this is why it is referred to as the anaerobic part of the process.
The second stage is where the pyruvate is converted to acetylcoA which gets into the mitochondria foe the rest of the process to be continued. Oxygen is used here and a net of 34-36 ATP is produced (base on the reference). Because oxygen is used the process is referred to as aerobic respiration.
