Andrija Mohorovicic

Explanation:

It was in #1909# when Yugoslav scientist Andrija Mohorovicic observed a change in speed of the seismic waves as it moved through the earth. When the seismic waves reached a depth of #32# #km# to #64# #km# below the earth's surface, the waves increased in speed. This indicated the difference in density and composition of the rock at that depth. This boundary between the Crust and the Mantle is named after its discoverer, Mohorovicic Discontinuity or Moho.
