What is the advantage of space based telescopes?

stars, Galaxies and other objects in space produce all kinds of electro magnetic radiation.

Explanation:

Earth's atmosphere allow only visible light, radio waves and small range of UV to come down to surface.
So to observe in X ray, Gama ray, UV ray etc we need space based telescopes which are above Earth's atmosphere..Space telescopes do not suffer from clouds, lightning and other atmospheric problems.
